LEASH-FREE MISSISSAUGA
MEMBERSHIP

Leash-free parks in Mississauga were becoming more popular among dog owners, that in 1997 City Hall approved to set up leash-free zones in Mississauga.  These areas are organized by volunteers who work closely with Mississauga Recreation and Parks. Costs for fencing for these areas, maintaining them, and communications with leash-free users are covered by volunteer fundraising efforts and annual membership fees. Please choose one and stop by with your dog to observe how the dogs enjoy the freedom to frolic and socialize with each other. Many leash-free users consider walking dogs off leash to be a valid recreational activity.
Guidelines have been established for Responsible Leash-Free Users, a copy of which will be mailed to you when you send in your membership form. Please read and understand the Dog Owners Responsibility Code. New members are always welcome. Becoming a new member or renewing a membership is easy, we have provided a Mail-in Membership Form for you to print.
